Get Simpsonized - a great viral

On June 11th I wrote a blog post about viral marketing, and discussed client perception, what works and what doesn't and that its tough to do good viral well. Click Here if you want to read it again.

Yesterday I found a great viral.

It's true that it has the benefit of being supported by two major brands (Burger King and the Simpsons) and arguably some of the most famous celebrity faces in the world, but it also has all the right ingredients to be a good viral.

The concept is very simple and involves you uploading a digital photo of themselves, making a few transformation choices and voila, out pops a Simpsonized charicature of yourself! Genius. My own charicature is above, allbe it with a somewhat exaggerated nose!

The lead agency responsible for the concept is Equity Marketing, and they worked with Cortona based out in Germany to build the technical bits.

It's simple, it's quick, it's openly self-promoting and it has captured the imagination of thousands. What I particulary like to see is how it has spread through Facebook with may people changing their profile picture to a Simpsonized version.

To Simpsonize yourself then click here.
